چکیده

If the superpartners of the standard model fields find out about supersymmetry breaking from the standard gauge interactions, then the superpartner spectrum can be computed in terms of few parameters, and unwanted flavor-changing neutral currents are suppressed. This standard gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking (SGMSB) scenario requires “messenger” superfields charged under the standard gauge group, with a nonsupersymmetric spectrum. In the usual SGMSB models [1], where the vacuum expectation values (VEV’s) of the scalarand F components of a gauge singlet superfield give the masses of the messenger fields, only false vacua have experimentally viable properties [2, 3]. The true vacuum may become viable if a second gauge singlet is included [2, 3], but in this case there are many independent parameters. If mass terms for the messenger fields are included in the superpotential, then simple SGMSB models can be constructed [4]. It remains, though, to be shown that this simplicity is

Sparticle Spectroscopy and Phenomenology in a New Class of Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking Models

Recently, a proposal (by R.N.M. and S.N.) was made for a new class of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking (GMSB) models where the standard model gauge group is embedded into the gauge group SU(2)L ×U(1)I3R ×U(1)B−L (or SU(2)L × SU(2)R × U(1)B−L) at the supersymmetry breaking scale Λ. Supersymmetry breaking is transmitted to the visible sector via the same fields that are responsible for gauge...

Viable Ultraviolet-Insensitive Supersymmetry Breaking

It is known that one can add D-term contributions for U(1)Y and U(1)B−L to the anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking to make the superparticle spectrum phenomenologically viable. We point out that this can be done without spoiling its important virtue, namely the ultraviolet insensitivity. This framework can be derived from supersymmetry breaking and U(1)B−L breaking on hidden brane(s). This ...

D-term Contributions to the Mixed Modulus-Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking

We investigate effects ofD-term contributions to the mixed modulus-anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking scenario. In the original scenario, the tachyonic slepton problem in the pure anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking is cured by modulus contributions. We generalize the scenario so as to include contributions from the D-terms of U(1)Y and the gauged U(1)B−L which is motivated in a grand ...

Cornering gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking with quasi-stable sleptons at the Tevatron

There are many theoretical reasons why heavy quasi-stable charged particles might exist. Pair production of such particles at the Tevatron can produce highly ionizing tracks (HITs) or fake muons. In gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, sparticle production can lead to events with a pair of quasi-stable sleptons, a significant fraction of which will have the same electric charge. Depending on ...

Sparticle spectrum and constraints in anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking models

We study in detail the particle spectrum in anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking models in which supersymmetry breaking terms are induced by the super-Weyl anomaly. We investigate the minimal anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking models, gaugino assisted supersymmetry breaking models, as well as models with additional residual nondecoupling D-term contributions due to an extra U(1) gauge s...
